Quail Lake is a popular area in the southern part of Colorado Springs for fishing, picnicking, kayaking and walking. In November, 2013 the deciduous trees along its banks were in the final stages of their fall color before dropping their leaves. Along with the foothills in the background they created a nice slurry of color reflected in the slightly rippled lake.
