Gnarled Pine Remnants

Gnarled Pine Remnants

Old fallen pine trees are common in Colorado as I am sure they are in many forests throughout the country. This was taken in Garden of the Gods, a city park in Colorado Springs which has many rock formations but, as one wanders about the area, other photographic opportunities are present.
The texture of these broken and fallen trees lend themselves to monochromatic images.
