Snow and ice accumulated on the rocks that pierced the surface of North Cheyenne Creek in North Cheyenne Canyon, Colorado. The bluish color of snow scenes can be eliminated by the use of a UV filter or changing the white balance setting on the camera or in post-production (photo editing) but in some cases, such as this, I think it creates a pleasant mood. Also "lines", in this case the creek's borders, that rise from left to right are thought to be more visually pleasing than those which rise from right to left.
