In June,2002 the Hayman Fire burned over 130,000 acres of Colorado forest land. For weeks the smoke could be seen and smelled along the Front Range. Now, almost 8 years later (photos taken March and May, 2010), the land remains scarred. It is slowly recovering but it will take decades.
