17. Aspens on Boreas Pass, Colorado, 18 September, 2014

Who has not seen pictures of white aspen trunks with blotches of black? I have made several myself. But in this image I wanted to include the golden and yellow leaves of the autumn aspen change. Using a zoom lens and narrow aperture deepened the depth-of-field thus showing the thickness of this strand of trees.
