18. Fall Color, Pikes Peak from Garden of the Gods, 13 October 2014
The scrub oak in Garden of the Gods usually display their fall colors in mid-October and the snow on Pikes Peak against a steel blue sky made for a quintessential Colorado autumn scene. I took other views of this area in landscape format but this portrait orientation seemed to capture the transition from foreground through midground to background much better.
